Infrastructure
An educational institute is known by its academic milieu, which in turn is known by its academic excellence of students.
Jodhpur Institute of Engineering & Technology campus is well-laid on an elevated stretch of land over 25.32 acres, the total constructed area is about 2.0 lacs sq.ft. For carrying out teaching smoothly and efficiently, the institute has well maintained and sufficient facilities for students. An open air theatre, a seminar hall & a mini auditorium fully air conditioned are also designed for technical symposiums. Magnificently designed college building has 26 lecture theatres for teaching purpose, 18 Tutorial room, 24 laboratories to carry out tutorial exercises in batches of 20 students and 3 drawing halls with technically designed drawing tables.
The Administrative Block
The Administrative block of JIET is fully AC and well designed in all aspects. The architecture and infrastructure of admin block provides the look of corporate office. This block consists of Chambers of The Director, Principal, Registrar and some senior faculty members. Apart from sitting of the authorities the block have Reception which act as information hub and the Board Room for meetings purpose, The Training & Placement office , Administrative Officer's Chamber, the student cell , examination & admission cell and cash window.
Physics Department
The physics department offers teaching in theory and laboratory as prescribed by university of Rajasthan. The theory course has considerable weightage on optics, which is currently thrust area. The laboratory is well equipped to undertake interdisciplinary work in the area of optical testing and electronics. It is planned to acquire laser material processing and surface testing equipments in near future.
Physics Laboratory
It is a well equipped lab which is in a good working condition. It consists of vast range of experiments, particularly based on optics, which is currently a thrust area due to its widespread applications in engineering and technology.
Chemistry Department
The department caters to the applied aspects of chemistry in the field of engineering. It ensures that the students are able to have access to the latest technology frontiers of engineering. The Chemistry laboratory has all the modern equipments and facilities as per the standards laid down by AICTE. It is of the size to accommodate a batch of 20-30 students at a time.
Department of Mathematics
Mathematics is the basis of engineering hence, the department of mathematics is responsible to strengthen and reinforce this basis. In JIET, the department is well equipped with qualified and experienced faculty that helps students become mathematically sound savvy and utilize the knowledge in their respective disciplines.
Department of Humanities & So. Sciences
The field of engineering is interdisciplinary. It aims to develop and evolve an engineer in terms of arts and humanities as well. Therefore the department of Humanities and So. Sciences us prevalent in engineering colleges. JIET has a well developed department with an experienced and qualified faculty who teach these up coming engineers subjects like Communications Skills, So-Science, Economics etc.
